2003年武汉大学分析化学专业博士毕业后留校任教，从事仪器分析方面的教学与科研工作。期间，曾于2014年赴新加坡南洋理工大学化学与生物医学工程学院开展合作研究一年。现为武汉大学教授，博士生指导教师。
主要研究领域为生物电分析、色谱分析及分析样品前处理。
